2022 Nuits-St-Georges, Les Pruliers, Robert Chevillon

The 2022 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Pruliers 1er Cru offers a mixture of red and black fruit on the nose, with background touches of wild mint and menthol, quite ripe and opulent. The palate is medium-bodied with a succulent opening. Again, overtly fruit-driven with a sorbet-fresh finish. Maybe it needs a little more finesse and Pinote to develop in barrel? Deep ruby. Densely packed red and black fruits, with a touch of charcoal in there too. There is lovely balance in the tasty, juicy red fruit and moderate, fresh acidity. This is aromatically similar to the Perrières with perhaps just a touch more sauvage character in evidence.
