2020 Nuits-St-Georges, Les St-Georges, Louis Jadot

Another high point of the négoce portfolio is the 2020 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Saint Georges (Maison Louis Jadot), a medium to full-bodied, velvety and concentrated wine evocative of wild berries, woodsmoke, orange rind and spices. This is aromatically quite similar to the Vaucrains with a bit less wood but more menthol character in evidence. The sleek, rich and highly energetic larger-scaled flavors possess a finer texture though the moderately austere and impressively persistent finish is a bit less powerful and notably less structured.
