2020 Meursault, Boucheres, Comtes Lafon
Mid lemon; light and fine with a crystalline acidity. Powerful and long. ~ (17.5) Matthew Hayes, JancisRobinson.com 1-11-2022
The 2020 Meursault 1er Cru Bouchères offers up aromas of pear, green apple, citrus zest, almonds and toasted hazelnuts, followed by a medium to full-bodied, satiny and layered palate that's concentrated and vibrant, with an impressively tightly wound core of fruit and a long, saline finish. ~ (93) William Kelley, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 1-20-2022
The 2020 Meursault Boucheres 1er Cru has a gorgeous bouquet with orange pith, honeysuckle, touches of yellow flowers, very precise and elegant. The palate is open and generous, a touch of orange cordial, quince and bitter lemon with a slightly creamy textured finish. This will be irresistible. Closure: Diam 30 ~ (95) Neal Martin, Vinous 12-1-2021
A more elegant and exceptionally pretty nose displays pure and airy aromas of a variety of white orchard fruit, exotic tea and a blend of floral elements. The delicate yet deceptively intense medium weight flavors exude a subtle minerality on the bitter lemon, focused and sneaky long finale. This is a classic rendition of Bouchères that could use a bit more depth but there is more than sufficient time in the context of the aging curve to develop it. ~ (93) Allen Meadows, Burghound 6-10-2022
