2020 Meursault, Les Porusots, Comtes Lafon

A particular success this year is the 2020 Meursault 1er Cru Porusots, a lovely wine that wafts from the glass with notes of crisp orchard fruit, citrus zest, white flowers, blanched almonds and wheat toast. Medium to full-bodied, tangy and chiseled, it's vibrant, concentrated and incisive, concluding with a chalky finish. Assessed at this early juncture, it's as good a Porusots as I can remember tasting chez Lafon. ~ (94) William Kelley, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 1-20-2022

Here the nose is still showing quite a bit of post-malolactic leesy character that renders it tough to read at present though there is no apparent reason why it wouldn't clean up appropriately. The palate however is entirely clean with superb intensity to the larger-scaled flavors that brim with sappy dry extract that also serves to buffer the markedly firm acid spine shaping the more compact and slightly more powerful finale.
