2025 Chateau La Fleur Petrus
Aromas of al dente fruit, blackberries and a hint of mint. Medium- to full-bodied with firm and linear tannins that are polished and caressing. Persistent finish of dark, brooding fruit. You don’t really see the tannins, just the purity of fruit. Energetic and intense at the end. 97% merlot and 3% petit verdot. ~ (100) James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com 4-30-2026
Along with Trotanoy, the 2025 La Fleur-Pétrus is one of the more powerful, massive wines in the Mouiex portfolio this year. Unwinding in the glass with aromas of sweet dark fruits, black truffle and a deft touch of new oak, it's full-bodied, ample and layered, with ripe, polished tannins despite its power, good energy and a seamless, integrated profile. ~ (96) William Kelley, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 4-30-2026
Concentrated and impressive, with mid palate expansion, and tannins that show muscle, sinew and juice. This opens in the glass, blossoming to show wonderful fragrant peony and iris flower, toasted spice, olive pit, oyster shell, wet stones, pumice, liquorice root, so much possibility and breadth here. Harvest September 1 to 19. 50% new oak for ageing. ~ (95) Jane Anson, Jane Anson Inside Bordeaux 4-20-2026
Elegant wine with loads of charm. Silky texture with finely honed tannins that provide persistence on the finish. Harmonious. ~ (17) James Lawther, JancisRobinson.com 4-23-2026
The 2025 La Fleur-Pétrus is one of the few wines in Pomerol that shows a certain finesse in this very hot, dry year. Rose petal, macerated cherry, blood orange and exotic spice are all beautifully knit together. Medium in
body, with gorgeous mid-palate pliancy and fine balance, La Fleur-Pétrus has a lot to offer. Floral overtones reappear to brighten the finish.

The 2025 La Fleur-Petrus was picked September 1 to 19 and matured in 50% new oak. This was another sample that demanded aeration to remove a bit of reduction on the nose. Enticing raspberry, wild strawberry and touches of leather unfurl on the nose, certainly on the more elegant side. The palate is well balanced, with lithe tannins, well judged acidity, very harmonious, with an almost "sleek" finish that just glides. Very seductive Pomerol in the making. ~ (96) Neal Martin, Vinous 5-7-2026
A serious, complex Pomerol, the 2025 Château La Fleur-Pétrus is 97% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot from deep clay soils on the higher plateau that will spend 16-18 months in 50% new French oak. It has that classic La Fleur-Pétrus complexity on the nose, with sweet red and black fruits, flowery incense, spice, and leafy herbs. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, with a layered, seamless mouthfeel, polished tannins, and a great finish. ~ (97) Jeb Dunnuck, JebDunnuck.com 5-11-2026
