2024 Vosne-Romanee, Aux Brulees, Gerard Mugneret

An exuberantly expressive and bright nose combines notes of various dark berries, rose petal, violet, gardenia and exotic tea. There is excellent cut and punch to the slightly bigger-bodied flavors that conclude in a distinctly bitter pit fruit-inflected finish that is more austere. ~ (92) Allen Meadows, Burghound 1-1-2026

The 2024 Vosne-Romanée Aux Brûlées 1er Cru has a little more complexity compared to the Les Suchots, a touch more cohesion and vigour with vivid red cherry and wild strawberry fruit. The palate is well balanced, perhaps the one cuvée whereby the stems are completely subsumed by the fruit and allow the terroir to be expressed on the precise finish.
