2024 Meursault-Blagny, Piece Sous le Bois, Cuvee 1950, Maison Benjamin Leroux (1.5L)

The 2024 Meursault-Blagny La Pièce Sous Le Bois Cuvée 1950 1er Cru has much more intensity on the nose compared to the regular cuvée; lovely lemon curd and citrus peel scents, focused with a bit more mineralité. The palate is well balanced with citrus and lemon verbena notes, fanning out wonderfully on the finish. This will be bottled en magnum. ~ (95) Neal Martin, Vinous 1-1-2026

This is aromatically quite similar to the regular cuvée save perhaps for just a touch more elegance. The equally seductively textured, if palpably denser, flavors also exude a subtle bead of minerality that adds the same sense of lift to the firm, very dry and tightly wound finale.
