A delicate smoky reduction followed by aromas of pear, spring blossoms and flowers introduces the 2024 La Clarté de Haut-Brion, a medium to full-bodied, sappy and layered wine with a fleshy palate due to its proportion of Sémillon, with a lively, saline texture. This is a blend of 64.5% Sémillon and 35.5% Sauvignon Blanc. ~ (92) Yohan Castaing, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 4-23-2025

Majority of Sémillon across the whole range this year. 42% new oak. Always one of the great value wines of Bordeaux, which might sound ridiculous but the sheer quality is incredibly consistent. Vibrant, structured, pure, touch of stone fruits, dominant apricot pit, juicy and joyful. Lovely quality. Harvest September 2 to 10, 3.22ph, 38hl/h yield. ~ (92) Jane Anson, Jane Anson Inside Bordeaux 4-10-2025

Bright with a green-tinged hue. Aromatic with marked citrus notes on the nose and palate. Long and lingering. Ready now but will evolve. ~ (16) James Lawther, JancisRobinson.com 4-14-2025

The second wine of both La Mission and Haut-Brion, the 2024 La Clarte De Haut-Brion Blanc is largely Semillon yet includes 35.5% Sauvignon Blanc. Crushed citrus, tart pineapple, mint, and some mineral notes all define the aromatics, and it's medium-bodied on the palate, with rock-solid mid-palate density, nicely integrated acidity, and a crisp, clean finish. It shows the fresh style of the vintage while still bringing solid depth and texture. It's an impressive second wine. ~ (93) Jeb Dunnuck, JebDunnuck.com 5-9-2025

The 2024 La Clarté de Haut Brion is terrific. It offers terrific depth, character and personality. Lemon confit, white pepper, slate, chalk and mint build nicely, but I am most struck by the wine's textural depth and overall presence. This is an especially fine Clarté. ~ (93) Antonio Galloni , Vinous 4-29-2025

Limpid, clear and bright, with fine smoke, herbs, light cream and stone fruit. Pure and dry, with very good mid-palate volume and acidity. Well balanced, with a medium body and a long, linear finish. Bright but not sharp. 64.5% semillon and 35.5% sauvignon blanc and sauvignon gris. ~ (95) Zekun Shuai, JamesSuckling.com 4-28-2025
