A blend of 56.3% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29.2% Merlot and 14.5% Cabernet Franc, the 2024 La Chapelle de la Mission Haut-Brion is fresh and perfumed, offering up aromas of peonies, dark berries and green bell pepper. Moderately weighted and sappy, it's layered and youthfully introverted, underpinned by somewhat brittle tannins and concluding with a fresh, elegant finish. ~ (91) Yohan Castaing, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 4-23-2025

High aromatics on the nose, and lovely vibrant fruit, ripe apples, cranberry, raspberry fruits, fresh acidities but crunchy and full of flavour. Austerity on the finish, but this is full of sappy charm, 26hl/h yield, 4.9% press, 31% new oak ~ (90) Jane Anson, Jane Anson Inside Bordeaux 4-10-2025

Open and expressive. Soft and round. Fresh but the acidity a little excessive. Light- to medium-bodied for earlier drinking. ~ (15) James Lawther, JancisRobinson.com 4-14-2025

The 2024 La Chapelle de la Mission Haut-Brion has a reserved bouquet of tertiary black fruit with touches of smoke and cigar box. The palate is medium-bodied and quite sapid in the mouth with grainy tannins and a seaweed note on the aftertaste. The 2024 is a little taut at the moment, but if it gains a little flesh it should turn out fine. ~ (90) Neal Martin, Vinous 4-30-2025

Based on 56.3% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29.2% Merlot, and the balance Cabernet Franc, the 2024 La Chapelle De La Mission Haut-Brion is well-made and should be outstanding, with a pure, medium-bodied, elegant, and finesse-driven style. Ripe red and black fruits, leafy tobacco, and some loamy earth notes all shine here, and it has fine tannins, juicy, integrated acidity, and just a charming, satisfying style. ~ (92) Jeb Dunnuck, JebDunnuck.com 5-9-2025

The 2024 La Chapelle de La Mission Haut Brion is soft, open-knit and juicy, all qualities that will make it a fine choice for drinking on release. Unusually, Cabernet Sauvignon takes the lead in 2024. It's a style that works quite well. Macerated cherry, plum, spice, new leather and tobacco all build nicely in the glass. ~ (92) Antonio Galloni , Vinous 4-29-2025

A light and very juicy wine with solid, fine-grained tannins. Red plums and cherries with touches of cedar, minerals and graphite. Fine tannins on the medium-bodied palate. Firm, succulent and linear. Refined and bright in the finish. 56.3% cabernet sauvignon, 29.2% merlot and 14.5% cabernet franc. ~ (95) Zekun Shuai, JamesSuckling.com 4-28-2025
