2024 Echezeaux, Louis Jadot

The 2024 Echézeaux Grand Cru (Domaine Louis Jadot) offers up aromas of sweet plums, red berries, orange zest and baking spices, followed by a medium- to full-bodied, supple and fleshy palate framed by new oak, concluding with a moderately persistent finish. ~ (93) William Kelley, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 2-26-2026

The 2024 Echézeaux Grand Cru has a clean, well-defined nose with raspberry coulis, wild strawberry and iodine scents, perhaps not quite as audacious as the 2023 but a very competent and classy Eche'. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent ripe tannins, layers of mulberry, raspberry and black pepper leading to a satisfying, quite persistent finish. Light to mid cherry. Both sweet-fruited and a touch herbal. Chewy yet fine tannin structure, layered and refined if firm overall. Taut, fresh, perhaps a touch lean at the moment. Upright, more closed than the Corton-Les Pougets. Hoping it takes on more flesh in the bottle. Very long even if not in any way approachable. ~ (17) Julia Harding, JancisRobinson.com 10-29-2025

Moderately generous wood frames the exotically-scented nose of Asian-style tea, star anise and soy whiffs. There is slightly better volume to the delicious velvet-textured flavors that deliver good length and slightly better depth though the finish is borderline chewy.
