2024 Chassagne-Montrachet, Les Chaumees, Simon Colin

Matured in 30% new oak, the 2024 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Chaumées 1er Cru is laconic on the nose despite coaxing. The palate is citrus fresh with a fine bead of acidity, maybe just missing a bit of mid-palate weight and grip, tapering a little towards the bitter lemon/orange rind finish. ~ (90) Neal Martin, Vinous 1-1-2026
