2023 Meursault, Gouttes d'Or, Comtes Lafon

There is plenty of petrol character to the slightly riper aromas of pear and apple compote plus a note of lemon rind. There is good but not better concentration to the otherwise seductively textured and appealingly vibrant middle weight flavors where the supporting citrus-tinged acidity renders the sneaky long finish saliva inducing. This too could use better depth so at least some cellaring is recommended. ~ (93) Allen Meadows, Burghound 6-1-2025

The 2023 Meursault Goutte d'Or 1er Cru, still in barrel, is a step up from the Boucheres with impressive focus to its heightened yellow fruit, nectarine and grilled walnut aromas. The palate is taut and fresh on the entry with a fine bead of acidity and ample weight. Touches of wild honey and white pepper appear on the finish. Excellent. ~ (95) Neal Martin, Vinous 1-1-2025

The 2023 Meursault 1er Cru Goutte d'Or is very attractive, delivering aromas of honeyed pears, orange zest and subtle hints of more exotic fruits, followed by a medium to full-bodied, satiny and layered palate with a sweet core of fruit, succulent acids and a long, saline finish. ~ (93) William Kelley, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 1-30-2025
