A completely different and more deeply pitched nose is comprised by notes of wild dark currant, poached plum and plenty of newly turned earth nuances. The 2023 Gevrey-Chambertin Village comes from three parcels around the appellation. Its delicate nose unfolds raspberry and wild strawberry hints in the glass, gaining intensity with aeration. The palate is quite edgy and poised, framed by fine tannins. It has good terroir expression and impressive length. This comes recommended—it's better than the 2022. ~ (91) Neal Martin, Vinous 1-1-2025
