2023 Corton-Charlemagne, Domaine des Heritiers de Louis Jadot

This too is aromatically quite floral in character with its ripe yet cool blend of Granny Smith apple, spice, soft citrus and slightly more prominent wood influence. The exceptionally rich and moderately dense larger-scaled flavors also flash impressive power before culminating in a clean, bright, long and youthfully austere finale that is every bit as compact as the Montrachet. The 2023 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru has an attractive nose: butterscotch, vanilla pod, passion fruit and light pineapple scents. This is determined to make an impression. The 2023 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru (Domaine des Héritiers Jadot) is another terrific rendition of this bottling, which might well be the most underrated of the house's grand cru whites. Unwinding in the glass with aromas of citrus oil, confit lemon, petrol, vanilla pod and toasty reduction, it's full-bodied, satiny and rich, with a layered, dense mid-palate and a long, mineral finish. ~ (96) William Kelley, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 1-30-2025
