Firm reduction knocks down the nose but there is both better volume and precision to the sleek and almost painfully intense middle weight flavors that also conclude in a youthfully austere, firm and saline suffuse finish. The 2023 Chambolle-Musigny Les Charmes 1er Cru has a slightly more tertiary bouquet compared to other cuvées, but there is decent red berry fruit here and commendable transparency. It articulates its terroir. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy red fruit, finely balanced, a more elegant Chambolle with a lighter and more caressing finish than the previous vintage. Aromas of minty red berries, cherries and roses introduce the 2023 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Charmes, a medium to full-bodied pure and lively wine that's fresh and melting.
