2022 Puligny-Montrachet, Les Demoiselles, Philippe Colin

A markedly more floral-inflected nose reflects additional aromas of mineral reduction, crushed fennel and a hint of honeysuckle character. Here too the mouthfeel of the medium-bodied flavors is quite sleek, indeed elegant, with good succulence and density while delivering superb length on the attractively dry finish that isn't quite as complex, at least not yet. The natural class of Puligny, and of Demoiselles, is abundantly clear and overall, this is lovely with the potential to match. ~ (94) Allen Meadows, Burghound 6-10-2024
