2022 Chassagne-Montrachet, Les Caillerets, Jean-Noel Gagnard

Once again there is moderate wood present on the vaguely exotic nose of lychee, white peach, orange peel and a similar hint of exotic tea. The mouthfeel of the middleweight flavors is noticeably finer and a bit more mineral-driven if less powerful and concentrated while delivering fine length on the balanced, youthfully austere and attractively dry finale that is sufficiently structured to repay a decade of aging. ~ (94) Allen Meadows, Burghound 6-10-2024
