2022 Chablis, Les Clos, Domaine Michel Laroche

Moderately toasty wood sets off ripe but cool aromas of pear liqueur, citrus zest, tidal pool and a hint of lemongrass character. There is outstanding power and punch to the larger-scaled flavors that are supported by bright and firm acidity on the robust and muscular but not rustic finish that is quite compact at present so at least some patience will be necessary. ~ (94) Allen Meadows, Burghound 8-10-2023
