Here the wood treatment is also subtle if not invisible as it stops short of overshadowing the fresh dark currant, plum and crushed fennel aromas. The seductive medium-bodied flavors possess a velvety mid-palate mouthfeel that contrasts somewhat with the very firm, austere and beautifully long finale that displays focused power.
