A more restrained and slightly fresher nose blends a variety of spice and floral elements with mostly dark berries and sandalwood nuances. The sleekly muscular and solidly concentrated larger-scaled flavors coat the palate with dry extract that helps to buffer the prominent tannic spine shaping the structured, youthfully austere and quite serious finish that makes clear this is not only built-to-age but will need it. ~ (95) Allen Meadows, Burghound 1-10-2022
