The fragrant sour-cherry and floral nose pulls you into this refined and elegant Chambolle-Musigny that has a serious tannin structure, but an excellent, velvety texture, flowing gracefully over the palate. The 2020 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru wafts from the glass with aromas of cherries, raspberries, smoke and spices. Here too there is just enough wood present to remark upon framing the overtly floral-suffused aromas of spicy and ripe dark berries. There is both excellent drive and delineation to the rich, sappy and seductively textured medium-bodied flavors that conclude in a dusty, balanced and moderately austere finish.
