2019 Odyssee (Bordeaux / Rhone Blend)

Such a fetching nose full of spices, showing lots of cumin, tangy peppercorn to the fresh blackberries and blueberries. Medium-bodied palate with a tangy profile of spice and blue fruit. Tannins are creamy and small-grained, giving a nice, seamless grip to the finale. Cabernet sauvignon, grenache and mourvedre. The 2019 Odyssée, also made by Pierre Graffeuille, comes from Cabernet Sauvignon in the Médoc and Grenache from the Southern Rhône. It’s got lots of spice, red and blue fruits, blackberries, and lifted violets like aromatics. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it’s pure, balanced, and really elegant, with fine tannins and a silky, more forward style than the 2020.
