The 2025 Latour à Pomerol is lovely, offering up aromas of cherries and sweet berry fruit complemented by hints of petals and spices. Medium- to full-bodied, polished and suave, it's deep and seamless, with ripe tannins, bright fruit flavors and a long, penetrating finish. The 2025 Latour à Pomerol is a dense, heady Pomerol. Super-ripe red fruit, mocha, spice, saddle leather and dried flowers flesh out in the glass. The 2025 Latour à Pomerol was picked September 1 to 13 and matured in 50% new oak. It has an open nose, soft red berry fruit, a little sous-bois and truffle, though it misses a bit of the drive some of the other Pomerol wines show. The palate is medium-bodied with ripe tannins, balanced and nicely focused, though it is not the most complex Latour à Pomerol that I have encountered on the finish. It's concentrated and medium to full-bodied on the palate, with a layered mid-palate and a straight, focused, yet nicely textured mouthfeel.
