The 2022 Riesling Loibner Vinothekfüllung Smaragd was mainly picked in the Kellerberg, with smaller proportions of Schütt and Loibenberg. A hint of candied mandarin peel plays along the scented ripe orange zest on the nose. This fragrant and expansive character continues on the palate. Ripeness and concentration are apparent on the mid-palate where dollops of rounded citrus just drip with pristine ripeness and freshness. Stunning nose of King Alphonso mango, pineapple, apricot and floral honey. Very dense and ripe on the medium-bodied palate in spite of the racy and energetic acidity.
