2021 Pierre Peters, l'Esprit, Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs

The 2021 L'Esprit de 2021 is a very pretty Champagne to drink now and over the next handful of years. Apricot, spice, chamomile, ginger and dried flowers lend notable aromatic complexity. Tropical overtones add character. I would not push my luck on aging. The 2021 is quite pleasant today, but not likely to improve materially. Dosage is 4.7 grams per liter. Freshly sliced bread, peach blossom, Mediterranean citrus and vanilla are layered with hints of crushed limestone. Medium-bodied, with fine bubbles and a chalky texture, lemon peel and nectarine.
