2021 Corton-Pougets, Domaine des Heritiers de Louis Jadot

A wonderfully pure and equally cool nose grudgingly offers up its combination of red cherry, kirsch, crushed fennel, spice and a smoky hint. There is notably better volume and mid-palate density to the larger-bodied flavors that exude evident minerality on the tautly muscular, youthfully austere and more complex finale. As is usually the case, this is a combination of refinement and focused power that should age gracefully over the next 12 to 15 years. ~ (93) Allen Meadows, Burghound 4-10-2023

The 2021 Corton-Pougets Grand Cru has a wonderful bouquet with transparent red cherry, raspberry and floral notes. This wine is classy and seductive. The palate is medium-bodied with ripe tannins. It's lithe and agile in the mouth with a mineral undertow towards the finish. Often one of Jadot's classiest offerings, this Pougets is no different and one of their stars in 2021. ~ (96) Neal Martin, Vinous 11-1-2022
