There is a vague whiff of the exotic lurking in the background of the slightly sweet nose of white peach and lychee along with a floral hint. The succulent, round and very rich flavors are generous but not really opulent while delivering fine punch on the lightly stony, clean, dry and citrusy finale. This impressively persistent and well-balanced effort could use better depth but the Drouhin Clos des Mouches has an impeccable aging track record. ~ (93) Allen Meadows, Burghound 6-10-2023
