In keeping with the style of the vintage, the 2020 Vosne-Romanée from Mugneret-Gibourg is a rich, heady Burgundy, perhaps a bit big on its own, but very delicious on a cold winter day. Black cherry, spice, mocha and dried flowers all stain the palate. Dark and enveloping, with notable intensity, the Vosne-Romanée is a gorgeous village-level offering from this renowned domaine. ~ (91) Antonio Galloni , Vinous 3-25-2025

This is also exuberantly spicy with its array of poached plum, black raspberry and violet-scented nose. The succulent and seductively textured medium-bodied flavors possess fine mid-palate density while delivering impressive length on the mouth coating, dusty and slightly raspy finale. This isn't elegant but it is an unusually powerful Vosne villages and worth a look provided that you expressly intend to cellar it as it's not likely to make for especially interesting early drinking. ~ (92) Allen Meadows, Burghound 1-1-2022

The 2020 Vosne-Romanée Village comes from the four different parcels as usual. Matured in 25% new oak, it has a tightly wound bouquet with redcurrant and cranberry fruit, touches of violet unfolding with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with a velvety texture, sensual and refined, extremely pure with not a hair out of place on the finish. Gorgeous. ~ (92) Neal Martin, Vinous 12-1-2021

The 2020 Vosne-Romanée Village wafts from the glass with aromas of cherries, wild berries, dark chocolate and spices. Medium to full-bodied, layered and velvety, it's rich and dramatic, with a lavish core of fruit, ripe tannins, lively acids and a long, saline finish. ~ (92) William Kelley, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 1-20-2022
