2012 Les Pensees de Lafleur (1.5L)

Intensely aromatic, pure cassis with just a touch of spice and dusty leafiness. Scented more than perfumed. Touch of raspberry in there too. Silky and energised by great freshness. Tannins are very dry and papery but not at all drying. ~ (17) Julia Harding, JancisRobinson.com 4-8-2013

Subtle aromas of chocolate, berries and walnuts. Peach stones, too. Full-bodied, chewy and tangy. Clay and orange peel undertones. A little austere. This needs three to four years to soften. Better in 2017. ~ (90) James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com 2-22-2015
